WinnerAna PELETEIRO, ESP
I could not hide my tears. I tribute this gold medal to my both grandmothers, one of them passed away recently. I have improved my personal best in almost half a meter and I cannot believe it yet. The support of the public has been decisive for jumping 14.17m. I'd like to become as relevant as Teddy Tamgho or Carlota Castrejana, who are my idols.

Second - Dovile DZINDZALETAITE, LTU
My aim was to jump over 14metres, so I am really excited that I have managed to fulfill my goal. It is a great feeling to break Lithuanian national record and get the silver medal in World Championships. The 14.17 attempt which was made by Ana Peleteiro even helped me to concentrate more on my own performance. I ask audience to applause from my first races as this helps me to concentrate better. Family and friends have always been my main supporters. I could say only great things about the competition and the hosting city Barcelona.
