Torrential rain in Beijing this morning which is pounding so heavily on the roof of the Bird’s Nest that it is difficult to hear the stadium presentation music has caused the following delays to the competition programme on the Seventh Day of the Athletics competitions of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
Men’s Javelin Throw, Qual Group A – start 10:10hrs
Decathlon Long Jumps Groups A & B – start 11:00hrs
Women’s High Jump Qual Groups A & B – start 10:50hrs
Men’s Javelin Throw, Qual Group B – start 11:40hrs
Decathlon Shot Put Groups A & B – start 13.10
All other events remain without change, the women’s 20km Race Walk and Decathlon 100m are currently underway.
