Oslo, NorwayAfter a hiatus of some 10 years, the men's Shot Put finally returns to the program for the EXXON Mobil Bislett Games in Oslo on 4 June.

This will be the second men's Shot Put competition in the IAAF Diamond League series that will conclude with the final at the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels on the 27 August.

The first competition in the Diamond Race was won by reigning World champion Christian Cantwell of the USA with a huge heave of 21.82m in Doha. Over the past 12 months Cantwell has developed the consistency he lacked in the earlier part of his career and his recent competitive record is almost faultless with high pressure championship wins both indoors and outdoors.

However in Bislett, Cantwell, the big Missouri-born athlete who studied restaurant management in college, will have a field of strongly credentialed competitors who will be all looking to get their hands on the diamonds in late August, and more specifically, a victory in Oslo.
