Zürich, SwitzerlandEight competitions, three World titles, two World records, and a longish after-event party, were some of the many impressive statistics for Usain Bolt at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Berlin.

Yesterday, the sprint superstar left the German capital and arrived in Zürich for his next 100m challenge of next Friday (28 Aug). Together with his coach Glenn Mills, he travelled business class aboard Swiss flight LX971, so that he could stretch his tired legs during the journey. However, the car aficionado was much more interested in the local means of transportation in Zurich, a luxurious Mercedes that took him the short ride to the Hotel Mövenpick Airport in Glattbrugg.

The 23-year-old Jamaican will now relax in order to be ready for Weltklasse Zürich - ÅF Golden League on Friday night. The star’s spacious suite on one of the uppermost floors boasts a breathtaking view. Bolt plans on sleeping, eating and doling some light training Tuesday and on Wednesday, but no promotional appearances.

On Thursday, however, he will be at RailCity, Zurich’s main station (between 11.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.), and watch his fans who will try to race against his ‘double’ (made of paperboard) at world record speed. He will sign autographs, and maybe even demonstrate his talents as a DJ - a fun prelude to the real Bolt show on Friday night.
