I am happy to have won. It was a hard race because the other athletes were blocking me. I tried to run faster but it was difficult. I then realised that I could get out of this only in the home straight line. I managed to escape to finally win. I come from Nakuru, where the star Kipketer comes from. I met Kipkter yesterday for the very first time. I have no relation with the other Kenyan runners named Kibet, it's a common name in Kenya. I only started to compete last year, before as a kid I used to run to school, it was 3kms through hills which can have an altitude of 3000m. I also have a great coach called David Kosgei.
