France’s Romain Barras, the overall winner of the 2010 IAAF Combined Events Challenge, will headline the 5th edition of TNT-Fortuna meeting on 15-16 June in Kladno. The competition is for second year part of IAAF Combined Events Challenge.
European decathlon champion Barras is the top name along with the recently crowned European indoor heptathlon champion Andrey Kravchenko of Belarus, and France’s Nadir El Fassi who took the silver behind him.
The Kladno competition will also be graced by return of the two men who have win the past three editions of the decathlon, last year’s victor Oleksiy Kasyanov of Ukraine, and Jamaican Maurice Smith who won in 2009 and 2008.
There is also a strong Cuban trio of Yunior Diaz, Yordani Garcia and Leonel Suarez, the bronze medallist from the Berlin World Championships.
In the women’s heptathlon the top two from the European Indoor pentathlon, France’s Antoinette Nana Djimou and Austra Skujyte of Lithuania, will be competing. Also taking part will be Russian Marina Goncharova and Poland's Karolina Tyminska.
Czech record-holder Eliska Klucinova hopes to be in top shape to attack her national record which she achieved last year in Kladno when winning with 6268.
