With a team comprised of ten athletes Denmark will be sending it’s biggest delegation ever to the 11th IAAF World Junior Championships. Four of the members won their respective event against the seniors one week ago at the National Championships in Odense (22-23. July), among them Sara Petersen who finished 4th at the IAAF World Youth Championships 2003 in the Girl’s 400 Metres Hurdles.

Both Pole Vault competitions will as well have Danish representation in form of two very promising jumpers: Rasmus Weinhold-Jørgensen (1989) and Iben Høgh-Pedersen (1990) who both will arrive to Beijing with fresh National Junior Records on their CVs - the latter first turning sixteen on August the 14th, the day before the opening ceremony is about to begin.
