MonteCarloThis weekend the 2008 season of IAAF Indoor Permit meetings will commence in Moscow, the annual competition series which showcases the best global indoor action from North America to Europe. There are nine meetings in 2008.
Over the last couple of weeks there has already been a smattering of good indoor results across the northern hemisphere and an equal measure of significant outdoor marks from the southern hemisphere where the main Australian, New Zealand, and South African seasons are now in full swing in the warmth and sunshine of their summers.
Whether competing indoors or out, the short term goal of most athletes is the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships, which will take place 7 – 9 March in Valencia, Spain, with events on this the highest global indoor stage a significant form indicator ahead of an Olympic summer.
You can follow all the action of the IAAF Indoor Permit meetings on www.iaaf.org which will provide features, interviews, meeting previews and reports throughout the season.
