Diagana reveals Olympic confidence

FacebookTwitterEmail

Stephane Diagana has declared himself “satisfied” in terms of form and fitness as the Olympic Games approaches.

The European champion at 400 metres Hurdles will retire after the August trip to Athens and is planning on going out in style.

French athlete Diagana is now 34 years old and had his hopes of World Championship glory last year ruined by a calf injury.

“I feel far better than last year at the same time,'' said Diagana.

“I am not as fine as in 2002 because I still need to sort out a few physical problems, but on the whole I am satisfied.

“I am not fast enough, but I am satisfied with my preparation.''
