The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has been informed by the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme (FFA) that the male athlete, El Mokhtar AJJAJI, (MAR and affiliated to the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme) has been found guilty of the following doping violation under IAAF Rules:
Presence of the prohibited substances Stanozolol + Norandrosterone (S1. Anabolic Agents) and Strychnine (S6. Stimulants) in his doping control sample (IAAF Rule 32.2a)
This doping violation relates to an in-competition doping control conducted on 18.03.07 in Hyères (FRA) at the Championnat de course hors stade.
In conformity with the IAAF Rules, the FFA has imposed the following sanction for a first violation:
• 3 years ineligibility (22.06.07 – 21.06.10)
• Disqualification of all results from 18.03.07
This information has been added to the 2007 List of Anti-Doping Rule Violations which can be found on the IAAF website in the anti-doping statistics section.
Note: Under the IAAF Rules, athletes sanctioned for a doping violation have the right to appeal this decision to the relevant appeals body.
