The Czech team for World Indoor Championships in Budapest, Hungary (5-7 March) will consist of 11 athletes.

The biggest medal hope is the Decathlon world record holder Roman Sebrle, who won these championships at Heptathlon in 2001. He is leading the current world lists and showed an impressive form over the weekend at national championships equalling his best at 60mH with 7.84.

He will have two more competitions on Wednesday (25 Feb) in Jablonec at local meet where he will try the Pole Vault, and on Sunday (29 Feb) at the international meeting in Leipzig in which he will compete in the Long Jump and in the Hurdles.

Very high in Czech hopes is the young high jumper Jaroslav Baba (2.34m PB who has jumped 2.32 on three occasions).
