Prague, Czech RepublicIn the hope of fast times the organizers of the Hervis Prague Half Marathon have smoothed out their course for the 2007 edition of the race which will be run on 24 March 2007. And an 80,000 Euro incentive should also help to motivate runners.

Elite athletes registered for the Prague Half, which has removed a large section of cobbled streets from its route to make times quicker, include Patrick Ivuti of Kenya, the former World Cross Country silver medallist (1999 and 2003) who has a personal half marathon best of 59:45, and Tanzania´s Phaustin Sulle, whose personal best is 59:38.

As for the women, Kenyan Caroline Chepkorir Kwambai returns to defend her 2006 title. She is expected to face a stiff challenge from Russia´s Liliya Shobukhova, former World indoor record holder for 3000m who is also making her Half Marathon debut here.
