Waco, Texas, USAMarshevet Hooker won the 100 and 200 meters with fast times and anchored the University of Texas 4x100 to another good time in the Big 12 Championships over the weekend.

On Saturday she qualified for the finals in the 100 in 11.13 and 200 in 22.83; on Sunday she set PBs in both, winning the 100 in 11.09 and the 200 in 22.75. All four times were wind-legal.  Texas also won the 4x100, in 43.43.

Hooker also won Saturday's Long Jump with a wind-aided 6.70.  Her younger sister, Destinee, won the High Jump at 1.89.

In the 100m Hurdles, Priscilla Lopes (CAN) improved her PB by 0.01 with a world-leading victory in 12.63 (+1.2). Behind her was Melaine Walker (JAM), who lowered her PB from the 13.05 she set on Saturday to 12.86. Walker also won the 400m Hurdles in 55.44.

The men's events saw a major breakthrough by Brian Robison, a Texas footballer who likes to throw his weights around. On Saturday, he set a good PB winning the Discus with a throw of 59.68. On Sunday he won the Shot Put with a truly world-class PB of 20.81.
