Following a coaching session with a group of French vaulters in Portugal, Galfione took to the starting blocks in a local athletics meeting in Lisbon last Saturday and clocked 11.03 in the 100m, with the aid of a tailwind of 2.4 m/s.
Frances most photogenic (male) athlete took fifth place in the race, which was won by Portuguese athlete Paulo Nieves in 10.65.
