Gold medalJulian Purvis, USA.

When I came to the Czech Republic I was a bit nervous and shaky. I also had problems with my asthma and after the heats I was a little bit tired but I said to myself: come on, do your best, you are part of the world champs. Yesterday I felt good and the asthma didn't bother me so much and I tried to relax and rest. Today I felt good, I am happy. My mum is in the crowd. I ran for my family, especially for my sister Ashton who didn't do too well in the 100m. We live in Oakland. My parents helped me a lot but they want me stay humble and modest. I love what I do. I want to study broadcasting communication.
