Gold medalSokhna GALLE (FRA) 13.62

"With my coach, we wanted this title. With the stadium's help and the French team, it was fantastic. Before the competition, I was not a favorite with my injury. I didn't expected to get to the podium.

Yesterday, after the qualifications, the French record (13m42), I started to believe that. After the second attempt, I understood that I would get to the podium. After the second attempt, I didn't really jump. I would like to conserve my energy in case that I lost my first place. I felt good during my second attempt. I had the feeling of flying.

The physiotherapists made a good job because I no longer had pain in my ankle. I didn't feel the pain during the jumps. Only afterwards. Even the third place would give me fun. I'm surprised that Sagna wasn't on the podium.

I train 3 times per week, I find it good. I don't want to do more training because my studies are very important."

Silver medal - Jingyu LI (CHN) 13.57

"I am 16 and it's my first time to participate in an international championship and I just got the silver medal, I'm very glad about that. I wasn't nervous during the competition, I just tried all I can to get a good result and this time I realised my personal record. It's worth my efforts!"
