Haile Gebrselassie was honoured today by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
Gebrselassie received the AIMS/Citizen World's Fastest Time Award in recognition of his improvement of the World marathon record in Berlin this autumn, his time of 2:03:59 being the first sub-4 marathon in history.
The Award was presented to Gebrselassie by AIMS General Secretary and former London Marathon winner Hugh Jones in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
