High Performance Vacancies in Scotland

scottishathletics is currently developing a new Performance and Excellence Strategy that will guide the sport for the next ten years.  There has also been a recent review of the Track and Field programme within the Scottish Institute of Sport, which has resulted in a new Performance Plan.  These exciting developments require the appointment of two key individuals to drive these plans forward.

scottishathletics is looking to appoint a dynamic and influential Performance Development Manager to lead the strategic direction of the sport and manage the recently appointed team of four National Coaches.

The post requires a Manager of considerable experience in both people management and performance sport who will play a major role in shaping the future direction and success of Scottish athletes and their coaches.  The establishment of a development pathway, selection criteria and appropriate support will be a key issue for this post whilst managing the Performance budget for the sport.  The post will be based within the scottishathletics office in Edinburgh and a salary in the region of £34,000 is offered.

The Scottish Institute of Sport requires a High Performance Manager to lead the new Institute Track and Field Performance Plan and provide a leading and guiding role in supporting those elite athletes and their personal coaches within the Institute programme.

This dynamic individual must be capable of supporting, influencing and empowering athletes and coaches with their programmes whilst managing the delivery of the support services through the Institute.  They will be based at the Institute headquarters in Stirling and the salary will be commensurate with the significance of this crucial appointment.
