Home wins in the cold of Moscow

The Moscow International Half Marathon took place on 5 May in poor weather conditions with snowflakes in the air and 5 C at the start at noon.

After two circuits along the embankments of Moskva River in Moscow downtown, 396 runners finished in front of the beautiful St. Basil’s Cathedral, the famous symbol of the Russian capital.

Tough competition on the slightly changed course saw victories for Yelena Sokolova (1:15:08) and Sergey Lukin (1:03:40).
