MonteCarloA total of US$367,500 is on offer for the senior races - men’s 50km and men’s and women’s 20km - from the IAAF as prize money at the 23rd IAAF World Race Walking Cup, Cheboksary, Russia, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2008.

There is also a world record bonus of $50,000 available for any senior athlete setting a new World record.
Team Entries / Scoring
Each IAAF Member Federation may enter the following athletes:
Senior Races – a maximum of seven race walkers but no more than five shall be allowed to start in the race, of which three will score in each race.
Senior Men’s Races – a team in the 20km or the 50km or both races but no athlete may compete in both.
Junior Races – a maximum of five race walkers, but no more than three shall be allowed to start in the race, of which two will score in each race.
Age Categories
Men’s 50km – Only Senior athletes (i.e. aged at least 20 on 31 December of the year of the competition) may compete in the 50km Men.
Men’s and Women’s 20km – A Junior athlete (aged 18 or 19 on 31 December of the year of the competition) may compete in the Senior 20km race. However, a Junior athlete may not compete in the 20km and the Junior race.
Junior men’s and women’s 10km – Any athlete aged 16 to 19 on 31 December of the year of the competition may be entered in the Junior races.
No athlete aged less than 16 years of age on 31 December of the year of the competition may compete in any race.
