Hello Again Everybody,

Yes, I am still alive after the two hard races in Brussels. Of course I am not totally
satisfied with my performances, but after the disaster I had in London I am
happy I was able to come back and give Marion a couple of good races in Brussels.

Being only .02 behind in the 100m, 10.88 to 10.90 is respectable and shows that
we are competing at the same level and that there should be some good races in the future. What made me really happy was the 200m, as it was my first race at the distance in more than a year and my fastest since 1997.

What can I say, I ran 22.24 which is the third fastest in the World, while Marion ran 22.11, the fastest in the World since the 2000 Olympics.

I want to thank Wilfried Meert for putting on the 200m and pushing Mark my husband/coach to let me run. We knew I should be able to run a good 200m, as I did a fast one in training in June and then another good one in training in late July.

But to come out and run 22.24 for the first time this year in competition made me very happy.
It looks like I may decide to run the double at the World Championships in Paris 2003.

As for Berlin, I will not be there this week but I want to wish Marion all the best in her effort to capture the Golden League Jackpot. I am sure it will not be easy, as both Tayna Lawrence and Chryste Gaines are running great times. They came to play in Brussels and showed that the women's 100m is one of the most exciting and competitive events in Track and Field.

Well, next it looks like I will be back in Paris for the Grand Prix Final assuming nothing crazy happens, and then onto Yokohama for another 200m and the Super Meet.

Wish me luck, as I will need it with all the great competition in the event.

Best Wishes,
Zhanna
