IAAF suspend Termure and
Sologub for doping offences

10 August 2001 - Edmonton - Canada - Ana Mirela Termure (ROM) and Natalya Sologub (BLR) have been suspended by the IAAF. Both athletes tested positive for norandrosterone, a metabolite of nandrolone, in samples taking during these World Championships. The A and B samples both confirmed positive results. Termure finished 10th in qualification for the Javelin Throw and Sologub was fifth in a semi-final of the 400m.
To date, the IAAF has taken a total of 250 in-competition samples at these World Championships.
