First - Ashton EATON, USA

It feels good. Coming into the competition, I knew I could break the world record. The competition was solid, everything was good, I didn't have any bad event. It's a good beginning into the season and I will be now preparing for the Olympic Trials, which you know are very competitive in the US.

Second - Oleksiy KASYANOV, UKR

I was ready for a world medal for a couple of years, but at every competition something had gone wrong. Even this time, the competition didn't go that well for me, I didn't have so big results, but the total of the points was enough for me to get the silver today.

Third - Artem LUKYANENKO, RUS

In this heptathlon I did not do well in four events!! But other athletes were bad nearly overall. When, after six events, I was third, I decided to win this medal no matter how hard it would be. The 1000m were extremely hard and tiring for me, but I achieved a new PB. This is the most important competition of my life, I am very young. And this medal is psychologically important for me and my career. It will give me a lot of motivation and confidence for the Olympics.
