Mohammed AMAN, ETH

I'm happy to qualify because it was a tough race. I want to make history for my country which is best known for it long distance runners than the middle-distance ones. I can't say in advance that I am going to win but I feel good physically and psychologically.

Andrew OSAGIE, GBR

This is the first time we have a British athlete in the final of a World senior Championships in a long time. I finished strong and anything is possible in the final. I will run to the line.

Michael RUTT, USA

It's my first international competition. For me it's all about having fun and try to be as good as I can again the best in the world. I just tried to stay relax in the first 300m. And then, if you take the lead with 200m to go, then 2 people have to pass you if they want to qualify. I did the best I could and now find myself in the final. That's amazing.

Boaz Kiplagat LALANG, KEN

I was going well, but when you have a slow race, everyone is packed and things like these can happen. I learned here that it is better to go hard from the beginning to run more smoothly. The indoor season is over. I did too many tempo runs, was a bit overloaded and I lacked some speed. I also had a minor injury in my right hamstring during my third competition in Europe. I will prepare well for London. You will see me there.

Jakub HOLUSA, CZE

I'm at a totally different level than 2 years ago. In 2010 in Doha, I just expected to finish the final somehow, but now, I'm no longer afraid of it. Last year I was injured but this year, I have much to show. I know that my legs are able to produce fast times.

Adam KSZCZOT, POL

I stayed behind the group for the first 400m because I wanted to see how the race would unfold. I knew that I could not take the risk of pushings. When I saw that everybody was still together I came in front to pace the race. The race became quite fast after 400m, my pace was good. I controlled my position on the screen and slowed down on the last metres because I saw it was enough to be first or second. I do not want to make any predictions for the final.
