WinnerChaunte LOWE, USA

This victory gives me a lot of confidence. All the hard work paid off: the weightlifting session, the dancing, all the time away from my girls. I was surprised that a lot of girls struggled at 198, but on the other hand I kind of expected it after yesterday's qualification. The gesture after my victory? Well, I carry my family with me: the name of my husband on my bib - it is the first time that I compete with this name - and the names of my daughters on my arms - Aurora and Jasmine. They are watching me on TV now. It was a team effort. Me and my familiy, we did this together. I put a lot of hard work in this. A lot of times I had my best performances during 'off' years. This year, with the Olympics, I want to change this.

Second - Ebba JUNGMARK, SWE

When I cleared 1.95 I thought I could manage 1.98, but I couldn't. I am very happy to have won my first World Championships medal on my birthday. My parents are here and I am going to celebrate with them and the Swedish team. My country has always been strong in the High Jump and I am happy to keep that traditition. This medal helps me dream high for the Olympics.

Second - Anna CHICHEROVA, RUS

Today was not my day. You also have to accept it when you don't win. Maybe it was a mistake to come here. I have had some problems with my leg recently and I hesitated to come. After the qualifications, I thought things would be better. Maybe it can ring a bell for me. As for the summer, I have the motivation, but the most important is to be ready.

Second - Antonietta DI MARTINO, ITA

This is the most surprising medal in my career. I did not expect it following all the problems I had to train this winter. The long qualification took its toll on the jumpers today. I won bronze in Daegu and this silver shows I can fight in every competition. I am very happy and it gives me a lot of confidence for London. I will rest for one week and I can't wait to eat some sweets. I was trying to stay light for Istanbul.
