The first two jumps, I wasn't too happy. I didn't touch the board. The third one, I hit it good. I'm glad to be here. The track is fast, the board has some bounce and and there is crowd support.

Second - Shara PROCTOR, GBR

It is great. I did not expect to jump that far, just enough to qualify, but you can't control it. I am surprised. I will try to jump far tomorrow, close to seven meters and hopefully win a medal. I couldn't see my sister compete as I was in the warm-up, but she looks up to me. She is a High Jumper and we were also in Daegu.

Third - Brittney REESE, USA

I am blessed to be here and will try to become the first woman to win back-to-back titles in the Long Jump. Janay jumped 6.90 and we'll have some competition tomorrow. I have been working on my speed off the board and my landing. I have adopted a quote: SFT (See it, Feel it, Trust it). It has a lot to do with the Long Jump and I will have it in my head tomorrow.
