The Italian squad for this month's 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany (15 – 23 August) has been announced.

Defending silver medallist in the Long Jump Andrew Howe has been provisionally entered, but his participation is dependent upon his performance at a meeting in Grosseto later this week. 2003 World Pole Vault champion Giuseppe Gibilisco's entry is also provisional, pending his performance in Cottbus on Saturday (8 Aug).
