Brittney Reese will return to Athletissima on 25 August, seeking her third victory at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Lausanne.

At nearly 30, the world and Olympic long jump champion continues to improve. She won her seventh global title earlier this year when taking victory at the IAAF World Indoor Championships Portland 2016. And last weekend she produced the best jump in the world for 12 years when sailing out to a PB of 7.31m to win at the US Olympic Trials.

Reese has competed in Lausanne on five previous occasions, winning in 2010 and 2011. Her best jump at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise was her 6.96m leap to finish second in 2013, but this year she is aiming for another victory and a seven-metre leap.

In the men’s high jump, world high jump champion Derek Drouin will face 2013 world champion Bogdan Bondarenko, the meeting record-holder with his 2.41m leap from three years ago.

Elsewhere, African record-holder Murielle Ahoure will compete in the 100m, while USA’s Olympic finalist Georganne Moline will line up alongside Switzerland’s Lea Sprunger in the 400m hurdles.
