Makory and De Reuck wins Cross Auchan race
27 January 2002 - South African Colleen de Reuck won the IAAF's Cross Auchan Lille cross-country race in Tourcoing, France on Sunday in 20:14 as Kenya's David Makory took the men's title over 9.7km in 31:45.
Makory edged countryman Shadrack Kosgei in the men's race by 11 seconds while Mohamed Mourhit of Belgium took third.
Tom van Hooste of Belgium and Khaled El Aamri of Morocco placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
De Reuck beat Elvan Abeylegesse of Turkey by 34 seconds over 5.5 kilometers. Anja Smolders of Belgium was third while Fatiha Klilech and Meryem Boucetta, both of Morocco, finished fourth and fifth.
