Men Triple Jump Qualification

Following in the footsteps of another illustrious Jonathan, Great Britain’s Jonathan Moore was the leading qualifier in the men’s triple jump with a performance of 15.80 metres to gain automatic qualification for the final tomorrow.

Moore was followed by two Cubans, David Girard (15.71) and Osniel Toscas  (15.29) as the leading qualifiers. In total eight athletes achieved the qualifying standard of 15 metres, with the four next best finishers joining them in the final.
