Mary Wittenberg, president and CEO of New York Road Runners, and Olympic runners Meb Keflezighi, Alan Culpepper, Catherine Ndereba, Benita Johnson, Abdi Abdirahman and Colleen De Reuck rang the NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell on Friday August 25th 2006 to celebrate the New York City Half-Marathon taking place on Sunday 27 August 2006.
Wittenberg also signed into the NASDAQ Podium. This is a symbolic NASDAQ tradition that allows guests to sign into The NASDAQ Stock Market as a representation of our electronic trading model and the opening or closing of NASDAQ's trading. Her signature is displayed on the NASDAQ seven-story tower in Times Square.
