Ndiss Kaba Badji, the specialist of triple and long jumper and the only Senegalese to reach a final at the Beijing Olympic Games has been honoured with the title of Senegalese sportsman of 2008.
Ndiss Kaba Badji, who was sixth in the Olympics at the Long Jump and earlier in the year won the African title at the Triple Jump, will receive the prestigious ‘Lion d’Or’ which is awarded each year by the Newspaper "Le Soleil". He will receive the distinction at an official gala dinner which will be attended by the head of state.
The Senegalese sports press has also elected Ndiss Kaba Badji as their sportsman of 2008.
