New Chief Coach for British Athletics

Max Jones has been appointed chief coach to the British men's and women's athletics teams.

Jones, who is the Federation's technical director for throws, previously acted as chief coach to the English Commonwealth Games teams in 1986 and 1990 and to the British junior team from 1991-1995.

He replaces Malcolm Arnold, who has taken up an appointment at the University of Bath.
