Olympic javelin champion Thomas Rohler will face two of the leading Czech throwers at the Golden Spike in Ostrava, part of the IAAF World Challenge, on 28 June.

Following his runner-up finish in 2015, the German thrower won in Ostrava in 2016, throwing what was then a world-leading 87.37m. In 2017 he will face Diamond Race winner Jakub Vadlejch and 2013 world champion Vitezslav Vesely, both of the Czech Republic.

Another leading Czech athlete, 2012 European champion Jirina Ptacnikova, will be in action in the women’s pole vault.
