The Oceania Athletic Association yesterday announced its first wave of selections for the 10th IAAF World Cup, Athens, Greece on the 16-17 September 2006.

Where selections are not clear, and with so many fine athletes in the Oceania Region, the Selectors have decided to name the remainder of the team at a later date.  The Selection Committee has not named athletes for the individual men’s 100m, 200m or 400m events, instead they have named a men’s 100/200m squad and a 400m squad.  The Selection Committee have not named an athlete in the women’s 400 metre event, instead they have names a women’s 400 metre squad.
