Pole vault gold medallists highlight Millrose entries

18 January 2001 – New York - Nick Hysong and Stacy Dragila, Olympic gold medallists in the men's and women's pole vault, highlight the entries for the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 2.

Two Olympic silver medallists also will compete. Terrence Trammell, runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles, is entered in the 60 metre hurdles, and Lawrence Johnson, second in the pole vault, will compete in that event.

In addition, Melissa Morrison, bronze medallist in the women's 100 hurdles, will run the 60-meter hurdles, and Allen Johnson, the 1996 Olympic gold medallist in the 110 hurdles, will face Trammell in the 60 hurdles.

Defending Millrose champions scheduled to compete include Dragila, Morrison, Ireland's Mark Carroll (mile), Kenya's Paul Bitok (3,000), Johnny Gray (800), Regina Jacobs (women's mile), Suziann Reid (women's 400) and Jeff Hartwig (pole vault).
