Polish team for Athens

After the conclusion of the national championships in Bydgoszcz, (2 to 4 July) yesterday, the Polish federation agreed on a preliminary Olympic team line-up, which is to be approved by the national Olympic Committee this Tuesday (6 July).

Any additional athlete who achieves the Olympic A standard until 20 July may still be added to the team. The federation has asked for the inclusion in the team of Tomasz Majewski and Krystyna Zabawska, both of whom achieved the A standard indoors this year.

Marek Plawgo, who has been injured and is not planning to compete until after 25 July, has also been tentatively included in the Olympic team.
