Brussels, BelgiumThe PROVISIONAL ENTRY LIST for the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme - Samsung Diamond League meeting, which takes place in the Belgian capital on Friday 27 August, is now available to download.

The meeting whose spectator tribunes have been sold-out since 12 August, can boast the presence of the new World record holder in the men’s 800m David Rudisha. The Kenyan ran 1:41.09 at the ISTAF meeting in Berlin yesterday (22), which subject to the normal ratification procedures, will be the new World record having broken Wilson Kipketer’s mark of 1:41.11 set in Cologne, Germany, on 24 August 1997.

With the ending of the seasons due to injury of Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell, only Tyson Gay of the world’s trio of top sprinters goes in the 100m and will face a tranche of sub-10sec men, while we can be sure that there will roar of approval when the name Kévin Borlée, the new European 400m champion, is announced to his home crowd.

The Belgacom Memorial Van Damme is the second of two finals - where Diamond Race trophies accompanied by a prize of $40,000 will be awarded to the winners of 16 disciplines - and the 14th and last meeting of the inaugural series of the Samsung Diamond League.
