The RDC Jakarta had the pleasure to organise a Medical and Anti-Doping Seminar of 2010 on 10-13 May.
The seminar duration was 4 days and the lecturers were Dr. Fumihiro Yamasawa and Dr. Harold Adams, both members of the IAAF Medical and Anti-Doping Comission.
17 participants, among them 6 were female, came from 15 different Member Federations. The participants, mostly doctors, represented BAN, BRU, IND, INA, IRI, MDV, MYA, NEP, PHI, SIN, SRI and THA.
Various topics were discussed like the medical organisation at major competitions, fluids replacement policy, overview of doping, all aspects of urine testing, all aspects of blood testing and tutorial course of urine and blood samplings. Real Winner was also presented. Many of the participants were impressed by the consistent programme and were able to update their knowledge.
