Moscow - The coaches of Russian team hope to win 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals at
the Indoor European Championships, even though many leading Russian athlete will miss the
Championships.
The Russian indoor championships showed that it would be a very hard task to create a team of the same world-class level as for the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon. The head coach of the Russian team says that it will be a good opportunity to test new young athletes. That is why it is so difficult to predict the results in Vienna.
The Russian indoor championships also showed that Russian athletes still have rather good chances in all jump events. World Champion Yelena Prokhorova also wants in Vienna to maintain her leadership in pentathlon.
