Sell and McGregor win USA 25 km titles

Brian Sell took his second USA 25 km crown while Katie McGregor won the women's title in her debut at the distance at the USA 25 km Championships Saturday (12) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. 

Sell's time of 1:14:48 was good for a second place finish in the open field, 23 seconds behind Julius Kibet (KEN) and was the fifth fastest time ever for a U.S. man. McGregor dominated both the open and U.S. women's fields running 1:25:53, also the fifth fastest performance ever for a U.S. woman.

The USA 25 km Championships, held in conjunction with the 30th Fifth Third River Bank Run for the 14th time since its inception started under partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 50's.
