Organisers of the IAAF/VTB Bank World Athletics Final, which will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 12-13 September, hosted several athletes, visiting dignitaries and athletes at a reception in Berlin during an afternoon break at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (18).
Hosting the event at the picturesque Eventhaus Wirtshaus Schildhorn were members of the Thessaloniki organising committee, including LOC President Stavros Douvis, Event Manager Christos Pallakis, Venue Manager Christos Chrisostomidis, and Competitions Manager Thanasis Raptis.
Guest were also treated by the presence of Anna Rogowska and Monika Pyrek of Poland, respectively the World champion and one of the joint-silver medallists in the women's Pole Vault, along with Greek athletes Antonia Stergiou and Kostas Baniotis.
Also present was IAAF Ambassador Maurice Greene, the former World 100m record holder.
