Throws to the fore in Belarus

The Anatoly Julin memorial meeting was held in the Staiki Sport Centre in cold rainy weather on Saturday (24).

Valeriy Sviatokha from Grodno produced the current third result in the world this year in the men’s Hammer Throw (78.71), while Dmitry Sivakov from Mogilev won the Discus throw throwers with a 62.80m PB.
 
Sviatokha sent the hammer out to 77.56m with his first attempt and 78.71m with his second. The young athlete from Moldova, Roman Rozna who trains with former Olympic champion Sergey Litvinov, produced 73.73m in the last round to take second place. Young thrower from Mogilyov Dzmitry Marshin stayed on the third place with his fifth round 71.90m.

Sivakov produced his personal best in the fifth round of the men’s Discus Throw with 62.80. Ruslan Khlybau with 61.72m in the third round was his only real challenger.
