WMRA Grand Prix continues in Mayrhofen

The 2010 WMRA Grand Prix continues with the Harakiri Race on Sunday 1 August in Mayrhofen, Austria, the hometown of the Tyrol’s famed mountain runner, Markus Kröll.

Starting at the town center which is situated at 640m above sea level, the 10.4 km long course leads up to the mountain station of the Penkenbahn located at 1775m altitude.

The star-studded start list includes: Jonathan Wyatt, the six-time World champion from New Zealand; Ahmet Arslan, Turkey’s four-time European champion; Kenyan Isaac Kosgei, the winner of this year’s Großglocknerlauf; David Schneider from Switzlerland; Robert Krupika and Iva Milesova from the Czech Republic; and US champion Brandy Erholtz.

Among the leading challengers is local favourite Kröll who designed the Harakiri course.
