30 November 2011World champions Jesse Williams and Brittney Reese have joined the fields for the 105th edition of the Millrose Games at The Armory in New York City on 11 February.

Williams, the 2011 World champion in the High Jump, also won the Samsung Diamond Race Trophy in the event this past season and was the world leader outdoors at 2.37m. Earlier this month the 27-year-old was named the 2011 winner of USA Track & Field's Jesse Owens Award as the sport's top male athlete in the country. Williams, who has a 2.36m PB indoors, finished fifth at the 2010 World Indoor Championships in Doha.

Reese, 25, won her second straight World outdoor title in the Long Jump in Daegu. Her 2012 plans also include defending her title at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, 9-11 March 2012. Reese too was the World leader in her event outdoors in 2011, her 7.18m leap from the U.S. championships in Eugene in July 14 centimetres better than the season's next best jumper.

The two jumpers join another recently-crowned World champion from Daegu, 1500m gold medallist Jenny Simpson, who was previously announced.

Making a rare indoor season appearance will be three-time World 200m champion Allyson Felix, who most recently won silver in the 400m and bronze at 200m in Daegu. She will contest the 60m.
