China selects team for IAAF World Championships London 2017

China will be represented by 46 athletes at the IAAF World Championships London 2017 on 4-13 August.

The team features 11 medallists from recent senior global championships. The men’s squad includes world indoor triple jump champion Dong Bin, world high jump silver medallist Zhang Guowei, world long jump bronze medallist Wang Jianan, world indoor long jump bronze medallist Huang Changzhou, and three-quarters of their world silver medal-winning 4x100m team.

The women’s team, meanwhile, includes world and Olympic hammer silver medallist Zhang Wenxiu, world 20km race walk silver medallist Lu Xiuzhi, world shot put silver medallist Gong Lijiao and world javelin silver medallist Lyu Huihui.
