Suggested lead in for the World Feed from the ÅF Golden League Zurich August 29th 2008

Welcome to Zurich - Switzerland's largest City… Synonymous with banking it is a major commercial and cultural centre situated on the northern tip of Lake Zurich. The old town is well preserved and spans the river. There is so much to attract the visitor here, museums, art galleries, opera houses and of course once a year a world class athletics meeting.  Welcome to the Zurich Weltklasse and to ÅF Golden League athletics (24 sec)

1) Pamela Jelimo of Kenya, Olympic Champion over 800 metres, remains a contender for the $1m prize. Her time in Beijing, 1 minute 54.87 (8 seconds).

2) The second Contender, is Blanca Vlasic of Croatia in the High Jump - unbeaten all season until the Olympic Games, where she won silver with a clearance of 2.05m (8 seconds).

3) Yelena Isinbayeva of Russia, retained her Olympic Pole Vault title in style, with a World Record vault of 5.05m. (8 seconds.)

4) Usain Bolt of Jamaica, runs the 100m here. His World Records in Beijing over 100m and 200m were simply astonishing. (8 seconds)

There are many more Olympic Champions here and we have a fabulous meeting in prospect.  (5 sec)  (Over wide shot of Stadium)
