The 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships get underway on Friday (7) in Sopot, and now you can follow every run, jump and throw in more depth than ever before.

As ever, the IAAF website will bring you live results as well as up-to-the-minute updates on our live blog and IAAF twitter account.

Or if you’re on the go, you can download the IAAF app (available on Amazon appstore, Google Play or the App Store) to keep updated on all the results from Sopot.

Following our event-by-event previews, we will also provide reports for every round of every event, as well as daily summaries, features, flash interviews and medals tables. There will also be images and videos added to the site daily.

If you can’t follow the action on TV, you can listen to the IAAF Radio throughout the championships.

SPIKES – through twitter, the IAAF World Athletics Club on facebook, and their new home on the IAAF website – will add an extra dimension to the championship coverage, unearthing stories that you’d never hear anywhere else.

And there’s more.

You can follow your chosen country throughout the championships. Simply bookmark them, and then the tab along the top of every championship page will keep you updated on their progress:

In the athletes section, you can filter all the entrants by name, country, discipline or gender.

There is also a head-to-head page – simply select two athletes and it will display their competitive record against one another:

Meanwhile, on the progression page, you can look at how your favourite athletes have improved over the years:

The records section not only displays the championship records, world records, world-leading marks and top lists, but it also gives a complete break-down of records that are set in Sopot, from national and area records to world indoor records.

There's also the IAAF World Indoor Championships statistics ebook, the holy grail of reference information for indoor athletics.

If that’s still not quite enough information, you can download full in-depth biographies – compiled by statistician Mark Butler – of all the men and women set to compete in Sopot.

Or if you wanted to step back in time, the history page provides links to results for all the past editions of the World Indoor Championships.

After all, you can never have too much of a good thing.
