Licwinko leads Polish team for Portland

The Polish Athletics Association (PZLA) has announced a team of 17 athletes for the IAAF World Indoor Championships Portland 2016 on 17-20 March.

Kamila Licwinko will defend her title in the high jump. She shared the gold medal in Sopot two years ago with a leap of 2.00m and head to this year’s championships with a season’s best of 1.97m.

Poland also has medal hopes in the men’s shot put with Michal Haratyk and world junior champion Konrad Bukowiecki. World pole vault bronze medallist Piotr Lisek is also on the team.
