World Records ratified

Monte CarloThe following World Records, which were set at the IAAF/Coca Cola World Junior Championships in Kingston this summer have been ratified.
 
Junior Women

400m Hurdles – 54.70, Lashinda Demus (1983, USA), Kingston, 19 July 2002

Heptathlon – 6470, Carolina Klüft  (1983, SWE), Kingston, 19-20 July 2002

PLEASE NOTE – As announced on 31 October 2002, a subsequent performance by Carolina Klüft which she set when winning the European Championship senior title has already been ratified and consequently remains the current World Junior Record as follows –
